Traditional vs. Progressive Dispensationalism: OT Promises

This chart is a comparison that does not seek to define each system precisely, but rather to show the general tendency of each one. Traditional Dispensationalism (TD) and Progressive Dispensationalism (PD) represent two ends of a single spectrum, and any given author may fall at different points along it. The more Progressive Dispensationalist an author is, the greater the tendency to see fulfillment in the present age. This is not the spiritualization of Israel's earthly, physical blessings, but rather the literal fulfillment of spiritual blessings promised in the OT that were intended for all the families of the earth — not only Israel (Gen 12:3).
